Battle of the Books is the ultimate book competition, in which 30 Nashville area middle schools will participate and “battle” to become the book champion of the year. This year the contest will take place on May 19, 2016 at the Main Nashville Public Library.

Each student will be responsible for reading and knowing a selection of titles. They will then compete in a school competition at the end of April to decide which 5 students will go to the Nashville battle on May 19th. Parents of the students chosen to represent Cameron will receive invitations to attend the event.

Student Expectations

During Battle of the Books, each student will be expected to read 10 “battle” books, for which they will be responsible. Students will be responsible for the cost of replacing the books if they are lost or stolen. Students will be required to attend after school practices on TUESDAYS. We will meet immediately after the school day has ended, and students are to be picked up by 5:00pm in front of the school. If students can not find transportation home from school they may not be able to participate in the District battle.
